PENTASEAL Multi-Functional Window Sealing Tape

PENTASEAL is a BBA approved, multi-functional pre-compressed sealing tape designed to provide a complete perimeter seal around windows, doors and construction joints. Combining five key sealing functions within a single product, it provides protection against wind-driven rain, internal airtightness, outward vapour diffusion, thermal insulation and acoustic performance.

The tape provides driving rain resistance of >= 750 Pa while creating an airtight internal seal to help minimise heat loss through convection. Its integrated vapour control layer provides an Sd-value gradient of approximately 40:1 from inside to outside, allowing moisture to diffuse outward while helping protect the connection from moisture ingress.

Manufactured from impregnated flexible PUR foam with an integrated vapour control layer, PENTASEAL remains permanently elastic and continually expands and contracts in response to structural movement without adversely affecting its sealing performance. It also provides thermal conductivity of <= 0.048 W/m·K and sound reduction of up to 56 dB in a 10 mm joint.

Supplied pre-compressed on rolls with a self-adhesive backing to assist installation, PENTASEAL provides an efficient alternative to traditional multi-stage sealing methods using separate grouts, silicones, mastics and spray foams.
